We are pleased to announce the launch of a new project "PROTECT ME ‒ support for children and parents affected by the war in Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions".

It is implemented by our NGO "Association for Democratic Development" together with the Foundation "TER DES OM ITALY" with the funding of AICS. We work with the Foundation "TER DES OM ITALY" to create comfortable, environmentally friendly and safe spaces for children and parents affected by the war. These spaces will be opened in Chernihiv (Chernihiv region) and the town of New Vodolaga (Kharkiv region). They will not only give children between the ages of 4 and 17 a safe environment for activities and recreation, but will also become psychosocial support centers for them, their parents or guardians.

In our spaces there will be many different interesting events and activities:

• group psychosocial support sessions that focus on psychological recovery and stress reduction,

• individual consultations with a psychologist,

• art therapy activities that will help identify and express emotions through creativity,

• educational and recreational activities, master classes such as preparing for school.

Children and their parents (guardians) will be able to use the case management service with an individual approach. This involves case management and providing the necessary psychosocial assistance or referral to appropriate services.

The "Take Care of Me" project was created in order to strengthen mental health and improve social adaptation of children and their families affected by the war in Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. We believe that working together with other organizations and attracting local resources will allow us to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of Ukrainians and Ukrainians. Support from the "TER DES OM ITALIA Foundation"  and AICS ‒ an important step in the implementation of this initiative. We are grateful for their cooperation and faith in our common cause.

More information about the project and opportunities to participate in it can be found on our social networks. Subscribe to our pagehttps://www.facebook.com/demokratrozvitok, not to miss project news.
