​Announcement of the competition for initiative groups 

​of Chernigov.

NGO "Association of Democratic Development" in partnership with the International Organization ZOA in Ukraine announces a competition for projects for initiative groups (IGs) in the Chernihiv region.

    The purpose of the competition 

Strengthen the capacity of civil society in the border areas of Chernihiv region (Chernihiv, Koryukiv, Novgorod-Siversky districts) to respond to the basic needs of the affected and vulnerable population.

​   Maximum amount of funding:

•  for IG — up to $5,000

  Requirements for initiative groups:

• 4 to 10 persons not belonging to the same household;

• the leader is registered as a volunteer with the State Tax Service or is ready to register with the support of ZOA/ADD/LoMW;

• no encumbrances on property, open executive or criminal proceedings;

• having a common goal focused on solving community problems.

    Priority is given to:

• projects implemented within 20 km from the border with the Russian Federation or the contact line (but not a mandatory condition);

• initiatives to evacuate the affected population from the front-line areas;

• support for new IDPs (after 01.01.2024) and local vulnerable households;

• social entrepreneurial initiatives that create opportunities for vulnerable groups and meet basic needs;

• projects aimed at strengthening the self-defense of communities, reducing risks and overcoming the consequences of war.

   Restriction:

• projects related to military support (except for veteran support) are not financed;

   Duration of projects:

• for IG — up to 3 months;

   Application deadlines:

• IG — from 06/10/2025, monthly selection within 4 months or until the budget is exhausted
