from March 23 to 25, the head of the NGO "Numo, sisters!" Lyudmila Huseynovа took part in a joint working visit to Chernihiv, organized UN Women Ukraine / ООН Жінки в Україні.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with Association for democratic development/Асоціація демократичного розвитку, head of the coalition "1325 Chernihiv region", as well as a coordination meeting with representatives of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Національної поліції, Office of the Prosecutor General, regional department of social protection and public organizations.
The meeting with the regional representative of the Office of the Ombudsman was particularly warm and meaningful Лариса Шумна, with which our organization already has established close cooperation.
During two days, a workshop was held for women's organizations of the Chernihiv region. The participants worked on:
- strengthening of referral mechanisms in cases of SNPC;
- increasing the effectiveness of response through resilience-building strategies;
- strengthening accountability to victims by implementing feedback mechanisms;
- development of strategies to localize the implementation of the Framework for Cooperation on Prevention and Counteraction of the SNPC.
Lyudmila Huseynova took an active part in the workshop together with:
- Урядова уповноважена з ґендерної політики Катерина Левченко;
- Anatoly Dosych, national consultant of the Office of the Government Commissioner;
- Karina Lytvynyuk, national consultant of UN Women in Ukraine at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister;
- Victoria Mozgova, project specialist of UNDP in Ukraine;
- Herman Vega Cortes, Advisor for the Protection of Women's Rights of UN Women;
- Iryna Mykhaylovska, coordinator of the SNPC (UN Women) program;
- Analie Pepper, Senior Adviser on Women's Rights Protection at the Office of the United Nations System Coordinator;
- Anastasia Kolomiets, field coordinator for GZN issues (subcluster of GZN /United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine).
During the trip, the initiative of conducting training on sensitive communication and interaction with victims of conflict-related sexual violence for law enforcement officers in Chernihiv was also announced.
The NGO team "Numo, sisters!" he already has experience in conducting such trainings in Zaporizhzhia, and in the near future the event will be held in Dnipro. We see interest from law enforcement officers from other cities and are open to cooperation in any region of Ukraine.
