Адекватна самооцінка для підлітків є запорукою успіху в дорослому житті.

Adequate self-esteem for teenagers is the key to success in adult life. Timely worked out complexes and children's injuries allow to form an objective self-esteem. Psychologists of children's spaces working within the PROMESSA project are convinced of this: "Pearl" — in Novovodolazka, "Kryla" — in Zlatopilska, "Zherelo" in Tomakivska communities.

In the spaces for boys and girls aged 14-17, important work is being done to form qualities that will help everyone and everyone realize themselves in adult life.

It is about leadership, development of communication skills, improvement of social adaptation, education of an active life position, positive motivation for classes and self-confidence. An important component of these processes is adequate self-esteem of children during their growing up.

Why is this important? Adolescents need adequate self-esteem because it:

  • allows you to set real goals and achieve them;
  • analyze your capabilities and work on shortcomings;
  • do not overestimate yourself, but also do not underestimate.

Low self-esteem is harmful because it does not allow the child to believe in his own strength. And at the same time, inflated self-esteem is characterized by groundless expectations, and therefore can be accompanied by disappointment in certain situations and painful experiences for the child.

Therefore, psychologists of children's spaces operating within the framework of the PROMESSA project work with young people during classes on how to set real goals and see ways to implement them; work out complexes, injuries and problems affecting self-esteem.

Teenagers who visit the spaces "Pearl", "Wings", "Source" say that their self-esteem has improved, and self-confidence has increased thanks to classes and communication with peers.

All classes are conducted by experienced specialists with appropriate psychological and social education. And this allows not only to form skills, but also to work out stressful situations that children often experience in war conditions.

We are waiting for a meeting in children's spaces!

The project "PROMESSA: Protection of children, response to emergency situations and health care for the most vulnerable families affected by the conflict in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions" is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" in partnership with the branch of the "Ter des Om Italy ETS" foundation in Ukraine (TDH Italy) Terre des Hommes Italia in Ucraina.
