Security is the basic need of every person.
NGO "Association of Democratic Development" is starting the implementation of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in territorial communities of Chernihiv region", which became a component of the "Impulse" project, which is implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation and the IBO "Eastern Europe Foundation".
According to the head of the project, Iryna Kulyk, multidisciplinary working groups will be created in the Minsk and Kulyk communities, which will conduct security audits and develop appropriate action plans. Incidentally, the Action Plans to identify security challenges will take into account the gender-sensitive and inclusive needs of girls and women in these communities.
The project involves maximum involvement and consideration of the opinion of local residents. They will also become participants in measures to respond to security challenges identified and relevant for their communities.
"The result of this project will be to raise the awareness of community residents, which security challenges are the greatest for their communities and how to respond to them correctly", she emphasized.
Action plans are expected to be approved by local authorities. In the future, local self-government will be able to use these documents to plan its activities and attract funding for the implementation of security measures. The material was prepared within the framework of the project "Empowerment of civil society for the sustainability and restoration of Ukraine ("Impulse")", which is implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation together with the IBO "Eastern Europe Foundation" with funding from Norway (Norad) та Швеції (Sida).
