For sustainability and capacity, each public organization needs to plan its activities in the short and long term. Therefore, our organization works in this direction.
The operational plan for 2026-2027 and the organization's budget for the next year for the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" were developed based on the results of a two-day facilitated strategic session. Importantly, the operational plan is based on the ethics of care, and the organization's 2027 budget takes into account feminist principles and values.
The NGO team conducted an analysis of its own activities, focusing on issues:
- What worked well (our victories/accomplishments)?
- What have we learned?
- What we have to do differently next year?
In addition, attention was paid to the services of the organization, its target groups and their needs. Desired results/changes for target groups, NGO benifeciaries have been determined. When drawing up the budget for 2027 —, the resource base, potential revenues of NGOs, as well as planned estimated costs were investigated.
The result of the event was the development of the operational plan and draft budget of the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" for 2027.
"Association of Democratic Development" is a Chernihiv NGO with many years of experience at the intersection of humanitarian response, protection of women's rights and community development. The public organization started its activities in 2015. The geography of her work covers Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and other regions of Ukraine.
The event took place within the framework of the project "GEN-Recovery - building a gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine". The project is implemented by a consortium led by FOKUS in partnership with the Ukrainian Women's Fund, La Strada-Ukraine and the Cooperation Platform — Center for Public and Social Development with the support of the Norwegian government.
