The NGO "Association for Democratic Development" team, as a partner organization, began supporting the process of signing contracts between the Norwegian Refugee Council in Ukraine (NRC) and households selected as part of the project, which pre-filled a registration questionnaire for obtaining livelihood support for IDPs and war-affected local rural population from among vulnerable categories of Shostkin and Yampil communities of Sumy region.
The other day, the first package of contracts between the NRC and the project participants was signed in the Yampil community of the Sumy region.
Before signing the documents, the team of the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" held an information session on the conditions for the targeted use of funds for the purchase of agricultural goods and services, the obligations of the parties, the specifics of reporting for targeted assistance, and also provided answers to questions.
In addition, during the meeting, households were familiarized with a brochure containing recommendations on agricultural activities and mine safety in the Shostky district of the Sumy region.
The recommendations concerned:
- soil types,
- recommended agricultural crops depending on their characteristics,
- tips for using fertilizers and pesticides.
The participants also received information about mine safety rules during field inspection, learned about the risks associated with the use of drones, and about the algorithm of actions during an air alert during agricultural work.
The project is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" together with Норвезька рада у справах біженців в Україні (NRC) за підтримки Норвегії та Міністерства закордонних справ Німеччини.
