Domestic violence, unfortunately, remains relevant even during war, which requires a response and the combined efforts of the authorities and the public sector in countering this problem.
Together with colleagues from organizations, some of which belong to the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 Coalition, they took part in the training "Improving interdepartmental cooperation in the field of prevention and countermeasures against domestic violence in conditions of martial law"".
During the event, which was organized by the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, a number of important issues were discussed:
- international and national legislation in the field of prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence, in particular domestic violence and gender-based violence;
- detailing of norms of national legislation in the field of prevention and counteraction of domestic violence;
- features of response and follow-up if the victim of domestic violence is a child;
- the concept of special measures to combat domestic violence, the grounds and procedure for their application. A very necessary and important measure. Sincere gratitude to the Chernihiv Public Committee for its attention to this topic and active activity in this direction.
