Individual hygiene for residents of the Horodnya community.

Individual hygiene for residents of the Horodnya community.

People with disabilities and residents with reduced mobility who remain in the border Horodnya community in the conditions of a long security crisis will receive the necessary humanitarian aid.

The delivery of hygiene products will begin already at the beginning of autumn. Community residents will be able to obtain hygiene products according to their individual needs to maintain health, human dignity and proper living conditions.

In general, as a result of the implementation of the initiative of the Public Organization "EHarmony", 525 of the most vulnerable residents of the Horodnya community will be provided with the necessary means of individual hygiene. This will contribute to improving sanitary and hygienic conditions, preserving the health and human dignity of assistance recipients, as well as reducing the physical, psychological and financial burden on their family members and caregivers.

This large-scale disbursement of aid will be made possible by attracting international funding. The non-governmental organization "EHarmony" successfully submitted an application for the competition held by the "Charity Fund "Association of Democratic Development" in partnership with the international humanitarian organization ZOA and with the support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine. As a result of the review, the initiative received funding.

"Supporting their communities during the war and helping people cope with its consequences today can be both local public organizations and volunteer groups. The main thing is to clearly form an application and take into account all the criteria of the competition. Funding for such initiatives for the border of Chernihiv region is currently available. It can be directed not only to the issuance of the necessary individual hygiene, but also to other acute needs of the population. For example, an application can be issued for the repair of a roof damaged by shelling, replacement of windows or the organization of hot lunches for vulnerable categories of the population. In order for the application to be approved by the commission, it must be realistic, have a practical solution, expediency of implementation terms and economic efficiency of the budget", notes Nataliya Apanasko, project manager of the BF "Association of Democratic Development".
