The "Chernihiv region 1325" coalition, which is working on the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution 1325 "Women, peace, security" in our region, is expanding.
The Scientific Research Center for Gender Studies named after Sofia Rusova, headed by director Larisa Yuda, and the Regional Center for Social Services for Children, Family and Youth, headed by director Alla Kot, joined the circle of signatories of the memorandum of cooperation. We are pleased to welcome both signatories.
Cooperation with both organizations has already begun, because the ideas of strengthening the role of women and girls in the conflict and post-conflict period are important both in educational and scientific activities, and in social work.
The "Chernihiv region 1325" coalition was formed in the summer of 2023 with the aim of consolidating joint actions to localize UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, peace, security" and the National Action Plan for its implementation in the Chernihiv region with the support of the Ukrainian Women's Fund and assistance Apparatus of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy in the Region. The Coalition currently includes more than 20 organizations and institutions.
