The meeting of the working group on the development of the security audit plan was held in Maine. This is another step in the implementation of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in territorial communities of Chernihiv region", which is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" and which is a component of the "Impulse" project, which is implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation and the IBO "Eastern Europe Foundation".
The participants of the meeting - members of the working group, which includes representatives of the authorities, the public, the police and the State Emergency Service - considered the key principles of the security audit. In addition, group mapping of critical areas of the community was carried out. It is primarily about shelters, stops, unlit routes. They also prioritized the location according to the level of risk, especially for girls and women, and determined the methods of data collection.
The result of the meeting was the formation of a calendar schedule for conducting a security audit, the distribution of responsibilities and the determination of the necessary resources. The participants agreed on a mechanism for involving residents, which is important in the process of conducting a security audit in the community.
The material was prepared within the framework of the project "Empowerment of civil society for the stability and restoration of Ukraine ("Impulse")", implemented by the International Renaissance Foundation International Fund "Відродження" спільно з МБО "Фонд Східна Європа" Фонд Східна Європа за фінансування Норвегії (Norad) та Швеції (Sida).
