New participants, book presentation and promising projects.
In Chernihiv held a regular meeting of the coalition "Chernihiv 1325." Participants and participants of the event got acquainted with the book "Ukraine is not silent. Chronicles of Countering Sexual Violence related with War (2022-2024), "dedicated to the SNPK issues and published with the support of the project" Standing Together, "implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund in partnership with" La Strada Ukraine "and the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine" YurFem".
The book consists of 25 інтервʼю, in which Ukrainian and foreign experts tell what assistance is provided to victims of the SNPK so that they can resume their previous lives, which state structures, public organizations and international donors are involved in this. The publication also offers a unique experience in countering the SNPK, which Ukraine has accumulated during the Russian-Ukrainian war and which other countries can use.
Also, public organizations - members of the coalition "Chernihiv 1325" are preparing to take part in the grant competition "Assistance in the implementation of regional action plans 1325." The voiced ideas are important and deserve to be implemented.
In addition, the coalition "Chernihiv 1325" was replenished with new participants. The обʼєднання working with the agenda "Women, Peace, Security" was joined by a public organisation from the Kozelets community "Green Glade," which works with environmental and women's rights topics, the Chernihiv branch of the Rokada Charitable Foundation and the NGO "Center for Gender Education," which обʼєднує teachers and students of the National University "Chernihiv Polytechnic."
The coalition "Chernihiv 1325" was formed in the summer of 2023 with the aim of consolidating joint actions to localize in the Chernihiv region the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" and the National Action Plan for its implementation with the support of the ICF Ukrainian Women's Fund/Ukrainian Women's Fund and the assistance of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy in the region. The Coalition currently includes more than 20 organizations and institutions. The coalition is active, cooperates with state authorities of all levels, local governments, systematically holds meetings of the composition and organizes various training trainings.
