The first residents of Chernihiv Oblast have already received payments under the agricultural support program!
The implementation of the "Emergency support for food production (mixed type)" program is actively underway in Chernihiv Oblast. Residents of the Novgorod-Siversk and Horodnya communities, who were the first to submit applications, have already received funds to support and develop their economy.
One of the first to receive payments was Mrs. Valentina (name changed for security) from the Horodnya community on the border of Chernihiv Oblast.
"My daughter and I have long dreamed of our own greenhouse, but we could not buy it ourselves. However, the village council told us that the Charitable Foundation "Association of Democratic Development" is implementing a very good initiative for the villagers, so we decided not to delay and quickly submitted all the necessary documents", the woman says.
Ms. Valentina's family consists of three people: she, her daughter, and her three-year-old granddaughter, who has a disability. Despite daily challenges and proximity to the border, women single-handedly run a large household — keep a cow, piglets, chickens and cultivate the garden on their own.
Today, the family has already received a payment under the "Emergency support for food production (mixed type)" program and purchased everything necessary.
"The greenhouse has already arrived from the factory — packed, with all the details and instructions. Now we are looking for helpers to help collect it, and we will start growing our own vegetables. Vitamins are very necessary for a child. We are sincerely grateful for such timely help", Ms. Valentina emphasizes with tears in her eyes.
It will be recalled that the programme "Extra food production support (mixed type)" is aimed at helping families who run subsistence farms for their own consumption and need additional support. Program participants have the opportunity to receive cash payments that can be spent on priority needs: growing crops, livestock or poultry.
Currently, active registration and acceptance of applications for participation in the program continues in the Chernihiv region. Hundreds of families are already waiting for consideration and receiving funds that will help them strengthen their own farms and provide their families with the most necessary things.
