Representatives of coalitions 1325 from Chernihiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast took part in the training

Representatives of coalitions from Chernihiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast took part in the training "Advocacy for change. Strengthening the capacity of the 1325 regional coalitions to conduct local advocacy campaigns, held in the capital.

During three days, the participants worked out the practical aspects of advocacy, learned to identify problems that require solutions and made plans for local advocacy campaigns. The result of the training was the development of a road map for conducting advocacy campaigns with an emphasis on women from the families of military personnel.

At the same time, this event became a platform for analyzing key challenges and achievements in the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security", and also provided ample opportunities for the exchange of experience between regions.

For representatives of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 coalition, the training became a space for finding joint solutions that will help implement changes more effectively. Thanks to such measures, civil society deepens knowledge about tools to support communities in the conditions of challenges that our state is currently experiencing, in particular women veterans and women from the families of military personnel, said Iryna Kulyk, deputy head of the NGO "Association of Democratic Development".

The event was organized by the NGO "La Strada – Ukraine" with the support of the "Askold and Deer" Foundation, which is administered by ISAR Unity within the framework of the project "Strong civil society of Ukraine – driver of reforms and democracy" with funding from Norway's Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kyiv and Sweden's Embassy of Sweden in Kyiv.
