The project "Active and Capable: Activities of Women's Public Organizations of Chernihiv Region as a Response to the Requirements of Time," implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Women's Fund, has ended. Its goal was to raise awareness of residents and residents of the region about the activities of women's public organizations of the Chernihiv region.
The project participants were 12 NGOs, including those from communities that work on the protection of women's rights, countering gender-based violence, supporting women, families with children in communities, etc. Some organizations belong to the coalition "Chernihiv 1325."
During the project we together with partners:
prepared 12 video stories about the activities of women's NGOs;
prepared 12 articles on the successful stories of women's NGOs in the region;
prepared 12 sets of information cards about women's NGOs and distributed in social networks;
held the Forum of Women's NGOs of Chernihiv region;
prepared and presented a calendar for 2025.
Among the participants and participants of the forum, held in December 2024, are more than 10 public organizations from Chernihiv and communities of the Chernihiv region, a representative office of local authorities, invited guests from other regions. During the event, success stories of women's NGOs from Chernihiv, as well as from the Kipti, Kyinka, Tupychiv, and Mena communities, were presented. The main conclusion of the discussion showed the importance of the activities of public organizations in communities. After all, thanks to the implementation of socially important projects, they can strengthen their own communities.
