"Family, creativity, and favorite activities can be a resource for each of us to strengthen resilience during wartime," the residents of the Bereznya community learned during the training on providing psychological first aid and self-help.
The event in the Bereznyanska hromada was held within the framework of the project "Strengthening the psychological stability of residents of communities in the Chernihiv region," which is implemented by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. Crisis psychologists Ekaterina Savelyeva and Anna Chalova shared their professional experience.
More than 20 participants of the training, including IDPs, mastered the skills of psychological first aid in crisis situations, as well as self-help, the search for an internal resource for psychological stability in war conditions. Participants also received booklets on psychological first aid prepared within the project.
The project is being implemented by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the region thanks to the financial support of the UK Government within the framework of the Women.
