"Recognition of fakes and media manipulations" - a training with this name was held in the Kiptivska hromada. The event was organized by the NGO "Women for Development," which is part of the Coalition "Chernihiv 1325."
Trainer Anastasia Ulyusheva told the participants of the training about the difference between information and propaganda, the difference between journalists and bloggers, possible manipulations and fakes in the information field. In addition, residents of the communities worked out exercises that made it possible to analyze the personal media field and learn how to effectively filter fakes.
Participants of the training expressed the opinion that such trainings are especially needed during the information war, since media literacy and critical thinking can effectively counter Russian propaganda.
The project of the NGO "Women for Development" is being implemented thanks to the financial support of the UK Government within the framework of the project "Women. Peace. Security ": Answers to the Challenges of War," which is implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund in partnership with the NGO "La Strada - Ukraine," the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "Yurfem," the Women's Information and Consultation Center, the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health and the Women's Perspectives Center with the assistance of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy.
