   The strategic session on the development of the Regional Action Plan 1325 for 2026-2030 was held in Chernihiv. The event, which took place within the framework of the project "Women. Peace. Security: acting together", gathered representatives of the authorities and the public, participants of the Coalition "Chernihivshchyna 1325". 

   Anna Nikolenko-Bayeva, Secretariat of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 Coalition, and Andriy Shemets, Director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, summarized the implementation of the previous Regional Action Plan. They focused on responding to the challenges of Agenda 1325 following the war. The strategy session was ably facilitated by Vyacheslav Golub, Deputy Director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, and Tetyana Shestakovska, Adviser to the Head of the Regional State Administration on Gender Issues. In the practical part, participants in the groups elaborated and presented activities relevant to the region, in implementation of all four strategic objectives of the National Action Plan.

In particular, the:

  Creation of conditions for equal participation of women and men in decision-making processes regarding conflict prevention, response to security challenges.

  Creation of a gender-sensitive system for identifying security challenges, responding to them and preventing such challenges.

  Post-war recovery that takes into account the needs of all groups of women and men in all spheres of society and ensures equal opportunities, equal access to opportunities and equal value of results. 

  Identifying, responding to and overcoming the consequences of war-related sexual violence. 

  The measures proposed during the strategic session will be taken into account in the Regional Action Plan for 2026-2030.
