Most of us seem to theoretically be able to stop bleeding and help with loss of consciousness or give artificial respiration to a person after drowning. But, there is one but…
Theory must be periodically reinforced with practice and repeated actions in order to have stable skills.
The training "Fundamentals of first aid in an emergency situation" took place in the Kyiv community as part of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in territorial communities of the Chernihiv region", implemented by the "Association for Democratic Development".
Participants learned how
stop bleeding by applying a turnstile,
help with fractures,
do artificial respiration and
cardiac massage,
how to act in other critical situations, saving adults and children. The trainers of the training, which was held in cooperation with the Educational and Methodological Center of Civil Protection and Life Safety of the Chernihiv Region, placed a special emphasis on practice.
After all, practical first aid skills become a vital necessity during war, even for those who are in the rear.
