As a result of Russian aggression, Ukraine is now one of the most mined countries in the world. This applies primarily to regions where there were and are hostilities that were under occupation. Unfortunately, Chernihiv Oblast also belongs to such regions.
In addition, in the conditions of war, no one is immune from various emergency situations related to fires, floods, epidemics, etc.
Training "Responding to risks associated with the handling of explosive objects. Security in emergency situations and war" took place in the Kyiv community as part of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in territorial communities of the Chernihiv region".
Participants learned about the characteristics of possible emergency situations and civil protection measures, alerting local residents and organizing the evacuation of the population. In addition, it was about how to identify and distinguish different explosive objects; how to act when a suspicious object is seen; how to protect children, etc. The trainers not only provided theoretical knowledge, but also demonstrated models of explosive objects. This training was conducted in cooperation with the Educational and Methodological Center of Civil Protection and Life Safety of the Chernihiv Region.
The event was made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Great Britain, provided through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth of Nations Affairs and Development of the United Kingdom within the framework of the Women project.
