These were the impressions of the residents of the Bereznyanska community from the training that took place as part of the project 'Enhancing the Psychological Resilience of Residents in Chernihiv Oblast Communities" which is embodied by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. Crisis psychologists Ekaterina Savelyeva and Anna Chalova shared their professional experience with residents of the Bereznyansk community.
More than 20 participants of the training, including IDPs, mastered the skills of psychological first aid to children of all ages in crisis situations. For each age category, the trainers picked up exercises that will help calm and distract the child. First of all, we are talking about special methods of psychological support for children - like game, art and fairy tale therapy, breathing exercises.
