Art therapy — is one of the universal psychological methods that helps balance the emotional state of children or adults.
We tell you what it is and why this method is important. As a very ecological restoration tool, it allows you to take care of yourself, change your emotions to more comfortable ones with the help of creativity. This is the creativity that cares about us. At the same time, it does not require special education, training or skill from the participants. These classes have no age restrictions. But they are conducted by psychologists with appropriate training.
In art therapy, the process is important. After all, you can work out your emotions while drawing, sculpting, collaging, working with threads. Most often, it is not about the exhibition results of creativity, although often these works are interesting and valuable for children, because they felt emotional relief. This is an opportunity to teach children emotional self-regulation, especially in adolescence, when there are manifestations of aggression or, on the contrary, apathy.
Art therapy provides tools that can later be used by the child to recover.
In the children's spaces in Tomakivka, as well as in Novaya Vodolaz - "Pearl", in Zlatopol - "Wings" there are the necessary modern materials and tools for conducting art therapy classes, and experienced psychologists help children understand and show their emotions. The highest recognition of the work of the space team is the feedback that for children it is a place of support, a center where they can freely express their emotions. It is an important psychosocial support for children and adults in difficult circumstances due to war. All classes are free.
