The assessment and analysis of the needs of the local population in 5 communities of Chernihiv Oblast in the field of mental health and psychosocial support has been completed.

The public organization "Association of Democratic Development", within the framework of the project "Psychosocial support of vulnerable population groups in communities of Chernihiv region", completed the stage of assessment and analysis of the needs of the local population in the field of mental health and psychosocial support (PZPSP).

The study covered five communities of Chernihiv Oblast: Novgorod-Siversk, Varvynsk, Losynivsk, Snovsk and Kulikivsk.

The team of specialists conducted a number of individual interviews with key informants and focus group studies with representatives of various target groups. This approach made it possible to comprehensively study the current state, challenges and needs that are relevant for residents які have been and are being subjected to the devastating effects of war as a result of occupation, active hostilities, displacement, shelling or loss of family members.

Based on the results, the project team will develop a report and recommendations for mental health and psychosocial support programs with the support of IOM. Such recommendations will be respond effectively to requests from communities and their residents.

We thank all partners and participants for their cooperation, which contributed to the successful implementation of this important stage.
