Mine safety knowledge and skills save lives in today's realities.

Mine safety knowledge and skills save lives in today's realities.

That is why mine safety trainings for children and their parents (guardians) were held in the "Kryla" children's spaces in Zlatopilska and "Perlynka" - in the Novovodolaz communities working within the PROMESSA project. In the spaces "Pearl" and "Wings" classes were held for children of different ages and their parents (guardians).

For children, classes took place in an interactive, most accessible form for them. Together with the dog Patron and sappers, boys and girls were able to learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones from danger. And the children performed interesting tasks and watched cartoons — to know for sure what mines look like and what to do when they found a suspicious object.

Adults were engaged separately, and they received up-to-date information:

  • how to recognize explosive objects;
  • what to do if they are detected;
  • what actions should be avoided;
  • what are the most important rules of safe behavior in everyday life.

The event took place in cooperation with the NGO "Green-Landia". We are grateful to the partners for their help and expertise.

The project "PROMESSA: Protection of children, response to emergency situations and health care for the most vulnerable families affected by the conflict in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions" is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" in partnership with the branch of the "Ter des Om Italy ETS" foundation in Ukraine (TDH Italy) Terre des Hommes Italia in Ucraina. The project is financed by Italian Cooperation. And it is implemented with the aim of strengthening mental health and improving the social adaptation of children and their families who suffered from the war in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
