Before the war, Tatyana had a flower department in the eco-market of Chernigov. "As a result of the arrival, we lost all property and equipment. It was a hard blow for our family with two children, "she recalls.

"When my husband offered to apply for a grant from ZOA, I did not believe - I thought" free cheese happens only in a mousetrap, "" Tatyana smiles. "But it turned out to be a real opportunity to revive the business!"

Thanks to funding from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (UHF) through ZOA, the flower shop received a new refrigeration box and equipment. "Now we have a larger refrigerator area and a lower temperature - this gives better opportunities for preserving flowers," the owner shares.

"We were able to hire an employee, increase sales. Although periodic power outages create challenges, but the refrigerator keeps the temperature well, "says Tatyana.

This story, implemented by ZOA in partnership with the NGO "Association for Democratic Development," shows how support for small businesses helps to revive life in war-affected communities.
