About the project:
The project is aimed at women with disabilities/mothers of children with disabilities, including internally displaced persons.
Within the framework of the project
- identified and formed initiative groups in each of the 5 target communities, and identified one mobilizer;
- Trainings for women ("Human rights, rights of women with disabilities," "Advocacy and participation," "Women's leadership," "Gender approach in humanitarian assistance");
- Plans (concepts) of information and educational and advocacy campaign for each of the 5 target communities of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions were developed;
- conducting information and educational campaigns in accordance with the developed Plans;
- advocacy activities were held in Vinnytsia TG for women with disabilities of various nosologies and IDP women;
- a study visit to Vinnitsa was organized to exchange experience for mobilizers and representatives of local authorities of target regions;
- developed a Methodology for assessing needs and mapping services;
- assessment of needs and mapping of services available for women with disabilities/women raising children with disabilities;
- developed recommendations on the results of needs assessment and service mapping;
- presentation of these recommendations in communities;
- identified and implemented (funded) initiatives that will improve the access of women with disabilities to humanitarian assistance and protection, participation in humanitarian response.
