A meeting with members of the "Chernihivshchyna 1325" Coalition regarding the organization of the working group "Coalition for Gender Responsible Restoration" under the coalition took place in Poltava as part of the project "Building gender-inclusive restoration together with the women's movement of Ukraine" /GEN-Recovery.
The participants of the meeting familiarized themselves with the memorandum and regulations on the working group "Coalition for Gender Responsible Recovery". After all, this approach in the reconstruction process takes into account the different needs, experiences and interests of women, men and vulnerable population groups. And also guarantees equal participation of all citizens in decision-making and fair distribution of resources.
For two days, representatives of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 Coalition discussed the purpose, tasks, coordination and organization of the work of the working group "Coalition for Gender Responsible Recovery" in the region. In addition, during the meeting, the next steps of the working group "Coalition for Gender Responsible Recovery", which will be created under the Coalition "Chernihivshchyna 1325", were determined.
The event took place within the framework of the project "GEN-Recovery - building a gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine". The project is implemented by a consortium led by FOKUS in partnership with Український Жіночий Фонд / Ukrainian Women's Fund, Ла Страда-Україна/La Strada-Ukraine тa Platform for Cooperation — Center for Public and Social Development with the support of the Norwegian government.
1325 The "Chernihiv Oblast 1325" coalition was formed in the summer of 2023 with the aim of consolidating joint actions on the localization of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace, Security" and the National Action Plan for its implementation in the Chernihiv region with the support of the Ukrainian Women's Fund and the assistance of the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy in the region. Today, almost 40 organizations and institutions belong to the Coalition in the region.
