The event brought together representatives and representatives of the civil sector and authorities.
As Anna Nikolenko-Bayeva, head of the NGO "Association for Democratic Development", head of the secretariat of the Chernihiv Region 1325 coalition, said, this resolution, adopted in October 2000, singles out the important role of women in conflict prevention and resolution and in peacebuilding, and also calls on state governments to ensure more active participation of women at all levels of decision-making, in mechanisms of conflict prevention, management and resolution. The resolution provided an institutional framework for the integration of women into the security sector.

Ukraine joined the implementation of the Resolution in 2016 by approving the National Action Plan. At the level of regions, there are regional action plans, in the implementation of which regional coalitions 1325 are actively involved. "Coalition "Chernihivshchyna 1325" was created in August 2023 and now 35 institutions and organizations work in its composition. These are state institutions, departments of the Regional State Administration, representatives of the security and defense sector, in particular, the department of the main inspection and observance of human rights of the National Police, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region, as well as public organizations, including women's and human rights organizations", she said.
Andriy Shemets, director of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, informed about the implementation of the regional action plan in the Chernihiv region and the preparation of a new document for the region. He emphasized that women are a powerful force capable of ensuring the implementation of government and regional decisions.
Tetyana Shestakovska, adviser on gender issues to the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, emphasized that resolution 1325 emphasizes the different impact of wars and conflicts on women and men, and therefore it is extremely important to take into account the needs of women and girls, involve them in decision-making processes and participation in recovery processes. She also singled out the important role of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 coalition in these processes. "At a time when Chernihiv Oblast is recovering from upheavals, this community gives us not only a voice, but also real mechanisms of influence on changes. Being part of the — coalition means building a future in which peace is based on equality, justice and mutual support, she emphasized.

Resolution 1325 is important in peacetime, during war its role is further strengthened.
