Advocacy and capacity building training

Advocacy and capacity building training took place in Chernihiv. Its participants were representatives of the government and the public, the vast majority of whom belong to the coalition "Chernihiv 1325." Managers of our public organization also joined the event. 

​Trainers Olga Martynovskaya and Ksenia Pecherskaya presented detailed information about successful advocacy campaigns, their stages, analyzed the planning of the advocacy campaign. We singled out stakeholders and cooperation with them, talked about the creation of coalitions and their influence. In addition, participants of the seminar during practical exercises were able to offer their own advocacy campaigns to solve urgent problems in their communities; plan them and outline the main actions within the campaigns. "You gave us impetus to move forward so that it would be a work for the result," Ruslana Nagorna summed up her participation in the training. 

Representatives of the coalition "Chernihiv 1325" expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills gained will be useful during the activities of the coalition and the implementation of the regional action plan in pursuance of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women. Peace. Safety. "Training took place within the framework of the project" Women. Peace. Security: Responses to the Challenges of War, "implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund/Ukrainian Women's Fund with the financial support of the UK government in partnership with the NGO" La Strada - Ukraine, " Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "Yurfem," Human Rights Defender of YurFem Information and Consulting Women's Center, Ukrainian Foundation for Public health and the Center "Women's Perspectives" with the assistance of the Office of the Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy.. .
