The art therapy event for 5th-grade students of Chernihiv Lyceum was organized by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" with the support of FONDAZIONE TERRE DES HOMMES ITALY.
The session with Chernihiv children was led by psychologist and art therapy specialist Iryna Lisovetska. She believes that art therapy, as a method of psychotherapy, is highly effective and helps children process internal conflicts, anxiety, and fears through creativity, especially during wartime.
Young Chernihiv residents engaged in sculpting and creating paintings titled "War and Peace." The samples of their artwork will later be showcased in an exhibition in Italy.
The project, the implementation of which continues, allows children through creativity to express their emotions, to experience the negative experience of war. In addition, the work of children from Chernihiv will promote the dissemination of information about the war in Ukraine among Italian citizens.
