During the meeting of the "Chernihiv Oblast 1325" Coalition, a presentation of the project "Building inclusive security: localization of NAP 1325 throughout Ukraine" was held, which is implemented with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The team of the Ukrainian Women's Fund was welcomed in Chernihiv today. During the meeting of the "Chernihiv Oblast 1325" Coalition, a presentation of the project "Building inclusive security: localization of NAP 1325 throughout Ukraine" was held, which is implemented with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of the National Action Plan 1325 for 2026-2030 by strengthening the capacity of regions and communities. Also transforming it from a national policy into a real tool for change at the local level. 

The project operates at national and regional levels and covers six regions of Ukraine: Chernigov, Kharkiv, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Transcarpathian regions, as well as the cities of Kyiv and the Kiev region. It will develop a training module and integrated security training for regional coalitions, promote the regional localization of NAP 1325, monitor regional action plans 1325 etc...

​In his video address to the participants of the coalition meeting Kateryna Levchenko, Government Commissioner for Gender Policy emphasized the importance of practical localization of NAP 1325 at the level of regions. She emphasized that regional plans should take into account the real needs of the people and be formed in partnership with regional coalitions 1325. Ms. Kateryna noted the active work of Chernihiv Oblast and its leadership in implementing the "Women, Peace, Security" agenda.

Deputy Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Ivan Vashchenko, noted that Chernihiv Oblast is implementing Agenda 1325 not formally, but through specific actions and results, and also noted the contribution of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 regional coalition to the promotion of the region's gender policy. During the meeting, the participants discussed the draft of the regional action plan 1325 for 2026–2030, which is at the final stage of preparation and is the result of the joint work of the regional authorities civil society and local self-government bodies.

Ivan Vashchenko also presented the newly appointed adviser to the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, preventing and countering gender-based violence. She became the head of the secretariat of the Coalition "Chernihivshchyna 1325", the head of the public organization "Association of Democratic Development" Anna Nikolenko-Bayeva.

The event was held with the support of the Government of the Netherlands within the framework of the project "Building inclusive security: localization of NAP 1325 throughout Ukraine", implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund.
