Finding resources is always an important topic for civil society organizations, and new theoretical knowledge and practical skills are never superfluous.
A representative of our team attended a training in Poltava on the topic "Resource search and fundraising for women's human rights NGOs" as part of the project "Building gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine/GEN-Recovery with the support of the Government of Norway.
By the way, fundraising — is not only the process of attracting funds and other resources to implement social projects, charitable initiatives or support the activities of organizations, but also building trust, interacting with donors and finding partners.
During the training, the participants discussed,
how fundraising has changed recently, what are the trends and challenges that non-governmental organizations must overcome;
what is grant fundraising and what makes an NGO application strong;
using AI tools in fundraising.
The practical part of the training was particularly useful and devoted to the analysis of specific grant applications.
Enriched with new knowledge and experience, we move on.
The event took place within the framework of the project "GEN-Recovery - building a gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine". The project is implemented by a consortium led by FOKUS in partnership with the Ukrainian Women's Fund, La Strada-Ukraine and the Cooperation Platform — Center for Public and Social Development with the support of the Norwegian government.
