The forum of women's organizations of Chernihiv was held in the regional center. The event was organized by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" as part of the implementation of the project "Active and Capable: Activities of Women's Public Organizations of Chernihiv Region as a Response to the Requirements of Time," which was supported by the Ukrainian Women's Fund.
The purpose of the forum was to disseminate the best practices of the activities of women's public organizations of the Chernihiv region, to strengthen the processes of networking, to demonstrate the importance of the activities of women's NGOs in communities, to strengthen their visibility among the population and authorities, both at the level of territorial communities and at the level of the region.
Among the participants and participants of the forum are more than 10 public organizations from Chernihiv and communities of Chernihiv region, representation of local authorities, invited guests from other regions.
During the forum, the achievements of the project were presented, in particular, the calendar of women's public organizations for 2025. During the discussion, the stories of the successful activities of women's NGOs in Chernihiv, as well as Kiptivska, Kiyinska, Tupichivska, Menska communities were presented. The main conclusion of the discussion showed the importance of the activities of public organizations in communities. After all, thanks to the implementation of socially important projects, they can strengthen their own communities.
Synergy of cooperation between the government and the public provides solutions to many problematic issues. And coalitions strengthen public organizations, allowing обʼєднувати efforts, knowledge and resources. Representatives of the secretariats of Chernihiv, Khmelnytsky and Transcarpathia told about the regional coalitions of 1325. By the way, the stories published during the forum motivated representatives of several communities to work on the creation of new organizations, which is undoubtedly an important result of the event. And also wishes that the forum would be next year.
