From September 12 to 14, 2026, Chernihiv will host a three-day practical training on the implementation of the Principles of Empowerment of Women (WEPs) by UN Women in Ukraine. The program is aimed at companies and organizations that seek to systematically implement the principles of gender equality, non-discrimination, responsible corporate governance, ESG approaches and human capital development in their daily activities.
Training is open to representatives of business and business associations of Chernihiv region, as well as neighboring regions, in particular Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
The training program will cover key aspects of WEPs implementation, including corporate leadership, ensuring equal and non-discriminatory treatment of women and men in the workplace, health, well-being and safety of workers, education, professional development and career growth, business development, responsible supply chains and marketing practices, support for community initiatives, advocacy, and progress assessment and reporting.
For business, participation in training — is an opportunity:
- gain practical understanding of WEPs and their application in business practice;
- evaluate internal policies and organizational processes from the standpoint of equal opportunities;
- strengthen HR approaches, corporate culture, communications and team management;
- іintegrate the principles of non-discrimination, security and equal access to development into internal procedures;
- prepare for signing WEPs or strengthen the company's existing obligations;
- better meet the expectations of international partners, investors and business support programmes for ESG, transparency and responsible governance.
