Ukrainian Women's Fund announces grant competition "Assistance in the implementation of regional action plans 1325" for women's/feminist organizations from Kirovograd, Rivne, Sumy, Chernihiv regions and Kyiv
About the project:
Goal of the project "Women, Peace, Security: Answers to the Challenges of War " there are improvements to the system and policies for implementing the Women. Peace. Security "in Ukraine to strengthen women's participation in decision-making processes in this area, as well as more effective response to the challenges faced by different groups of women at the national, regional and local levels.
The project is implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Project objectives:
- ♦ Development of capacity of the National Action Plan executors
- ♦ Regional localization of the National Action Plan
- ♦ Sectoral localization of the National Action Plan
- ♦ Monitoring of the implementation of the National Action Plan and its individual strategic goals, coordination at the national level
The purpose and priorities of the competition:
The purpose of the competition is to assist in the implementation of regional action plans for the implementation of Resolution 1325 in Kirovograd, Rivne, Sumy, Chernihiv regions and Kyiv through the support of initiatives of civil society organizations from these regions.
Please note that in order to ensure coordination and strengthen the effectiveness of the implementation of regional action plans, the topics of projects and the format of work are recommended to be previously agreed with regional coalitions 1325.
Project duration: up to 3 months
Maximum grant size and number of supported applications:
The maximum grant amount is 10,000 pounds Sterling (equivalent in UAH at the NBU rate).
Within the competition, it is planned to support 10-13 applications (2-3 applications from each region).
We invite officially registered women's/feminist public organizations from Kirovograd, Rivne, Sumy, Chernihiv regions and Kyiv, which:
- ♦ undertake to coordinate their actions under the project with the secretariat of the coalition 1325 in the relevant area;
- ♦ have experience in implementing grant projects and successful financial management and reporting (such organizations will be given an advantage when considering grant applications);
- ♦ have an accountant with experience in preparing financial reports in grant projects;
- ♦ not associated with state institutions and political parties.
Membership of the organization in the regional coalition 1325 is not a prerequisite for participation in the competition, but will be considered an advantage when considering grant applications.
UWF defines women's organizations whose purpose (in accordance with the charter) is to protect women's rights and/or promote gender equality. Women's professional associations are not considered women's organizations unless they prove that they adhere to feminist principles and, in addition to providing services to women, expand their rights.

The competition will not support: providing incentives to civil servants; support for political parties; initiatives aimed at supporting professional associations of women (such as entrepreneurs, teachers) and are not feminist; initiatives that harm the environment.
Unacceptable costs: construction, purchase of equipment/assets in excess of £1,000.
Application and decision-making procedure:
To participate in the competition, interested organizations must:
- ♦ Register in the online project submission system of the Ukrainian Women's Fund at: https://uwf.org.ua/grantees/. If you have already registered in the database before - use to submit the application form the identifier of the organization that came after registration to the email address you specified. If for some reason you can not register, or when you try to register the system issues a message that the organization with such EDRPOU already exists - contact the grant manager of the UZF at

The CSF will confirm the registration of the application by email.
All projects will be considered by the Grant Expert Commission.
UWF reserves the right to:
- ♦ continue the competition and/or recommend viewing applications based on the results of the assessment;
- ♦ make requests for additional information from applicants for proper consideration of the application;
- ♦ do not report the reasons for the deviation.
