How to cope with stress? How to respond to acute mental states during a crisis situation? Where to find a resource for your own stress resistance? The answers to these questions were received by a resident of the Tupichev community during a training on first psychological aid and self-help.
The event in the Tupichev community was held as part of the project "Strengthening the psychological stability of residents of communities in the Chernihiv region," which is implemented by the Association for Democratic Development NGO in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region. Crisis psychologists Ekaterina Savelyeva and Anna Chalova shared their professional experience.
More than 20 participants of the training who survived the occupation received basic knowledge and skills in psychological first aid and self-help. Most of those present spoke about the need for psychological support, since being in occupation, the presence of enemy troops are traumatic events.
Also during the training, booklets on psychological first aid prepared within the project were presented.
