How to effectively communicate with your target audiences?

How to effectively communicate with your target audiences?

How to use and develop different communication channels? What to do when a crisis has arisen? Representatives of the public organization "Association for Democratic Development" sought answers to these and other questions during a two-day strategic session on the development of a communication strategy for 2026-2027.

Communications to a public organization are important for building trust, for successful implementation of projects, for starting and developing partnerships.

During the event, a SWOT analysis of the organization's existing communication was conducted, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities for growth and threats were identified. And they also discussed the advantages of NGOs among others and the issue of forming their own brand.

"Our organization actively works not only in Chernihiv Oblast, but also in other regions of Ukraine, taking care of the development and strengthening of communities, protecting women's rights, providing psychosocial support. The head of the "Association of Democratic Development" heads the secretariat of the "Chernihiv Oblast 1325" Coalition. In order for the organization to be visible and recognizable, it is important to analyze our communications and improve them", shared the head of the public organization, Anna Nikolenko-Bayeva.

Also, during the strat session, it was about the quality of content for various communication channels, the use of new formats and platforms, the production of branded products and cooperation with the media.

The event took place within the framework of the project "GEN-Recovery - building a gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine". The project is implemented by a consortium led by FOKUS in partnership with Український Жіночий Фонд / Ukrainian Women's Fund, Ла Страда-Україна/La Strada-Ukraine and the Cooperation Platform — Center for Public and Social Development with the support of the Norwegian government.
