In the border community, where information warfare is active, digital security skills and knowledge are especially important.
This was discussed by the participants of the training "Digital Security in the Digital Age: Protection from Threats and Preservation of Privacy," held in the Gorodnyanska hromada. The event was organized by the NGO "Women for Development," which is part of the Coalition "Chernihiv 1325."
20 local residents of different ages improved their awareness of digital security and protection against threats. Particularly valuable for residents of the community were practical tips on digital security: how to protect personal information on the network, including passwords, data and privacy; how to secure your devices, primarily phones.
The training for residents of the Gorodnyanska hromada took place within the framework of the implementation of the project "Media Literacy and Safety of Women in the Digital World," which is implemented in pursuance of the regional action plan on UN Security Council Resolution 1325.
The project is being implemented thanks to the financial support of the UK Government within the framework of the Women. Peace. Security ": Answers to the Challenges of War," which is implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund in partnership with the NGO "La Strada - Ukraine," the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "Yurfem," the Women's Information and Consultation Center, the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health and the Women's Perspectives Center with the assistance of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy.
