In the space for children "Take care of me" in Chernihiv, psychologist Elena Antonenko held regular meetings for parents. They were aimed at supporting and increasing their ability to cope with everyday challenges.
What were our meetings about?
Meeting "Phototherapy as an accessible life resource for every family" ― it was an opportunity to look at old photos - children's, teenage, youthful - and through them to find sources of support and inspiration. Participants brought their pictures and it created a special atmosphere of memories and discoveries.
Another meeting was devoted to the technique of restoration and resourcing "Therapy with flowers." We talked about how nature can help us recover and improve our mood. The practical part was the creation of a shopper-motivator - a bag that will serve as a daily reminder of the importance of resources and positive.
"The main purpose of these meetings is to help parents take better care of themselves and find internal resources. During the classes, we talked a lot, answered questions and shared information. They used creative methods and elements of art therapy to show adults new approaches to self-help. Participants received tools that can be used at home, not only during our meetings. In addition, these skills that the girls have acquired allow them to conduct similar classes or simply use these techniques and exercises at home, together with the whole family. This contributes to increasing the stability and ability of the whole family to cope with stress, recover and support each other, "― said Elena Antonenko, psychologist of the space for children" Take care of me. "
