In three communities of the Chernihiv region - Ivanovo, Novobylouskaya and Kiinskaya - Action Plans for identifying, responding to and preventing security challenges taking into account the gender and inclusive needs of women and girls were presented. The events were held within the framework of the project "Detection, Prevention and Response to Security Challenges in Territorial Communities of the Chernihiv Region," implemented by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development."

The leadership of village councils and active local residents and residents of territorial communities became participants in the presentations in the communities.

"These are the first strategic documents reflecting the priorities of communities in the field of security. During the preparation of the Plans, representatives of the authorities and local communities analyzed security challenges and identified ways to respond to them, "said Anna Nikolenko-Baeva, Head of the NGO.

She shared that in some communities some problems during the war were considered as if not on time. However, in the process of teamwork, they became the priority for creating a security environment in settlements. Action Plans also include an assessment and monitoring system that will allow them to be timely implemented and monitored.

The project "Detection, Prevention and Response to Security Challenges in Territorial Communities of Chernihiv Region" is implemented by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" within the framework of the project "Women, Peace, Security: Acting Together," implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

In three territorial communities of Chernihiv region - Ivanovo, Novobylouskaya and Kyinskaya working groups were created that developed relevant Action Plans to identify, respond to and prevent security challenges, taking into account the gender and inclusive needs of women and girls. This process was open and public.

In addition, for residents of hromadas, events will be organized focused on the formation of skills to respond precisely to those security challenges that are identified during the development of relevant Action Plans for each hromada.
