"Mechanisms for the protection of human rights in conditions of war: the state, challenges and decisions of the Chernihiv community" - a round table meeting with this name gathered representatives of the authorities and the public in the Chernihiv City Council. 

The event was timed to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine, and therefore special attention was paid to issues of access to free legal aid in the community, as well as the role of public organizations in the protection of human rights. 

1325 Anna Nikolenko-Bayeva, representative of the secretariat of the Chernihiv Oblast 1325 Coalition, adviser to the head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, preventing and countering gender-based violence Anna Nikolenko-Baieva she focused on the activities of the Coalition and the actual assistance provided by public organizations working on the implementation of the "Women, Peace, Security" agenda in the region. 

After all, during war, access to legal aid is important and decisive in protecting human dignity and bringing those responsible for war crimes to justice. NGOs that are part of the "Chernihivshchyna 1325" Coalition provide legal, psychological, material assistance, and, if necessary, carry out referrals to specialized departments.
