Representatives of our team attended a training in Poltava on feminist organizational development within the framework of the project "Building gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine" /GEN-Recovery with the support of the Government of Norway.
The training, which gathered representatives of various regions of Ukraine, aimed to strengthen the capacity of women's NGOs to integrate the principles of feminist organizational development into their activities in order to ensure gender equality, inclusiveness and democratic governance as the basis of sustainable development and recovery of Ukraine.
Over the course of two days, the participants gained new knowledge and practical skills regarding the key aspects of NGO activities - fundraising and resources, advocacy and communication campaigns, partnerships and implementation of joint projects, taking into account the principles of feminist organizational development. "There was a lot of new information, examples and useful discussions. She took new ideas and tools for herself. The exchange of experience between the participants was especially valuable", Alyona Ruban shared her impressions of the training. And the event deepened the understanding of the women's movement in the recovery processes; created a space for the exchange of experience between public organizations; formed a road map for further steps for participants regarding the development of NGOs in accordance with the principles of feminist and gender-inclusive recovery.
The training took place within the framework of the project "GEN-Recovery - building gender-inclusive recovery together with the women's movement of Ukraine". The project is implemented by a consortium led by FOKUS in partnership with the Ukrainian Women's Fund Український Жіночий Фонд / Ukrainian Women's Fund, Ла Страда-Україна/La Strada-Ukraine and the Cooperation Platform — Center for Public and Social Development with the support of the Norwegian government.
