Representatives of the Coalition "Chernihiv 1325" took part in the facilitation session to localize the implementation of the Implementation Plan of the Framework Program for Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations to prevent and combat sexual violence related to the conflict. The event took place in the capital and brought together representatives of the authorities and civil society involved in the implementation of the Women. Peace. Security "from Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kyiv regions and Kyiv.
Our region was represented by a team consisting of Deputy Head of the Department of сімʼї, Youth and Sports of the OVA Вʼячеслава Golub, Head of the Department of Family and Gender Policy of the Department Ruslana Nagorna, Adviser to the Head of the Regional State Administration on Gender Issues Tatyana Shestakovskaya, members of public organizations Irina Kulik ("Association for Democratic Development") and Irina Biryuk (Chernihiv Human Rights Protection Committee).
The purpose of the session was to develop a roadmap for the implementation at the local level of the Framework Program for Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the UN on the prevention and counteraction of SNPK.
Following the meeting participants:
considered the tasks, directions, activities and content of the Implementation Plan and its connection with the National Action Plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women. Peace. Security "for the period until 2025;
formed a common vision of an effective system of response to SNPK;
determined the regional focus of implementation of the Implementation Plan;
outlined the Road Map for the implementation of the Implementation Plan in the region.
The Chernihiv 1325 coalition was formed in the summer of 2023 with the aim of consolidating joint actions to localize UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women. Peace. Security "and the National Action Plan for its implementation with the support of the ICF Ukrainian Women's Fund and the assistance of the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy in the region. To date, 30 organizations and institutions belong to the Coalition in the Chernihiv region.
