"Sexual exploitation and abuse in wartime. Prevention and response to unacceptable behavior of a sexual nature" - training on this topic took place in Dnipro for a team of specialists of the NGO "Association for Democratic Development", who work within the framework of the project "PROMESSA: Protection of children, response to emergency situations and health care for the most vulnerable families, which suffered as a result of the conflict in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions".
This topic is important for everyone who works in humanitarian response projects. After all, cases of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEN) can concern both the relationship between the organization and the beneficiary, and the relationship within the organization between colleagues.
The NGO "Association of Democratic Development" has zero tolerance for SEN, an approved policy of responding to these cases, and the head of the organization, Anna Nikolenko-Baieva, is a certified trainer on SEN prevention. She held the event.
During the training, participants considered real cases of SEN, discussed their consequences and what should be the response to them. All expressed appreciation for the new knowledge and practical recommendations for preventing and responding to cases of SEN.
