Summing up the activities of Spaces for children - professional exchange and new guidelines.
Recently, a two-day training for teams of spaces for children "Take care of me" and "Pearl" from Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions took place in Kyiv. The event brought together experts and space specialists to analyze the results of the work together, exchange experiences and form plans for the future.
At the training there was a presentation of the results of questioning children, parents and teams of spaces. Based on the collected data, an analysis was conducted that revealed the strengths of the work, current challenges and directions for improvement. Separately, they discussed the impact of the events on the emotional state of children visiting the spaces.
They also paid a lot of attention to the topic of supporting the helpers themselves - they talked about the importance of self-help, regular recovery and maintaining balance in daily work. During the practical block, psychologists of spaces shared their best practices in art therapy as an effective method of psychosocial support for children. At the event, participants worked on simulating complex cases in the format of role-playing games. They discussed the decisions made, the difficulties and the results. Work on cases at the training was accompanied by supervision from Annakyara Nava. She provided professional feedback on the approaches used and suggested possible ways to improve practices. Her comments have become an important reference point in dealing with sensitive situations. Professional moderation of the training was provided by Annakyara Nava and Julia Licata, the facilitators were Elena Antonenko, Tatyana Mogilna, Tatyana Razvodova and Natalia Atanasova.
