The final report of the monitoring of the regional plan 1325 within the framework of the project "Women. Peace. Security: Act Together "was presented during a meeting of the Interdepartmental Council on Family, Gender Equality, Prevention and Counteraction to Domestic Violence and Combating Human Trafficking at the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, held today in Chernihiv.
Chairman of the Interagency Council, Deputy Chairman of the OVA Ivan Vashchenko emphasized that the regional action plan is a key tool for ensuring equal rights and opportunities, strengthening the security of women and girls, as well as for strengthening their participation in peacekeeping and decision-making processes. An important role in this is played by the regional Coalition "Chernihiv 1325," which unites active representatives of civil society, executive authorities and local self-government.
The head of the Association for Democratic Development, Anna Nikolenko-Baeva, said that monitoring of the implementation of regional action plans was carried out in all regions of Ukraine. At the same time, the methodology for monitoring the regional action plan was developed for each region separately. The monitoring was carried out in cooperation with the Department of family, Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration. According to the results of the work, Anna Nikolenko-Baeva noted that the Coalition includes 17 public organizations of the region, 7 of them performed projects related to the regional action plan. In addition, for the implementation of the activities and tasks of the regional action plan, NGOs belonging to the Coalition "Chernihiv 1325" in 2024 additionally attracted 2.2 million UAH.
Monitoring conclusions and recommendations will be sent to Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Kateryna Levchenko. In addition, the developments will be taken into account when developing a new regional action plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 "Women. Peace. Safety ".
