The meeting of the working group on finalizing the current Action Plan, taking into account the Report based on the results of the security audit, was held in the Kulikiv settlement territorial community of the Chernihiv region.
A comprehensive study of the public space in Kulikivka took place within the framework of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in territorial communities of Chernihiv region", which is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development", and it is a component of the "Impulse" project, which is implemented by the International Foundation "Renaissance" and IBO "Fund "Eastern Europe".
The working group, which includes representatives of the authorities and the public, reviewed the measures of the Action Plan, analyzing the wording of each measure, identifying the main executors and co-executors.
The result of the meeting was the recording of an agreed list of activities and responsibilities, the formation of tasks for the next meeting. The finalized Action Plan will be approved by the local council.
We will remind that the purpose of the security audit of the territory of the Kulikiv settlement territorial community was:
- identification of existing security challenges, risks and barriers in public space, taking into account the gender-sensitive and inclusive needs of women and girls
- assessment of the availability of infrastructure and services for various population groups, as well as development of practical recommendations for preventing and responding to identified challenges,
- increasing the level of safety, accessibility, inclusiveness and comfort of the living environment on the territory of the community.
The practical part of the security audit involved complex work, which included the focus of group research, interviews, the study of security documents in the community, as well as — conducting a survey of the territory along a certain route in the central part of the village of Kulikivka.
The results of the audit confirmed the need for further implementation of barrier-free principles during the development of community infrastructure, as well as taking into account the needs of various categories of the population during the development of the Action Plan for identifying and responding to security challenges, as well as further planning of improvement measures.
