The presentation of the project "Women's Voice and Leadership: New Power" took place in Chernihiv during the visit of the team of the Ukrainian Women's Fund headed by Director of Strategic Development Natalia Karbovska. This project is being implemented in the Chernihiv region of the UZHF with the support of the Government of Canada. NGO "Association of Democratic Development" acts as a regional partner of the project.
The meeting brought together activists of women's organizations of the Chernihiv region, community leaders and UZHF representation. The participants discussed the development of the women's movement in the region, what steps form a space for interaction and involvement of new organizations, which strengthens women's NGOs in communities and in Chernihiv Oblast as a whole.
And they also talked about the importance of joining forces, preparing and implementing coalition projects, advocacy. After all, joint actions have a greater effect and strengthen women's NGOs.
Women's public organizations of Chernihiv Oblast will continue their activities related to the networking and development of the region's women's movement.
The project "Women's Voice and Leadership: A New Force" is aimed at ensuring the rights of women and girls and promoting gender equality in Ukraine through the support of women's human rights organizations, activists and networks and the development of the Ukrainian women's movement.
The event was made possible thanks to the support of the Canadian government, provided through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada within the framework of the Project "Women's Voice and Leadership: A New Force", implemented by the UZHF.
