The project "Supporting the vulnerable population living in the border settlements of the Chernihiv region" is being launched in the region, which is implemented by the NGO "Association of Democratic Development".
It provides for the provision of cash assistance in the amount of UAH 10,800 for residents of the front-line area - Novgorod-Siversk urban community, which belongs to the area of hostilities. Assistance is provided once every 6 months and should address the humanitarian concerns of the civilian population, which faces the highest levels of insecurity, displacement, service disruptions and economic burdens as a result of hostilities.
Households in which one or more family members belong to such vulnerability criteria will be able to receive assistance:
- chronic diseases/medical conditions that limit physical and mental capabilities and require valuable treatment or care;
- a pregnant woman or a nursing mother of a child under 3 years of age;
- people with disabilities of the 1st or 2nd group, including children under 18 years of age with disabilities or people with disabilities since childhood;
- households with three or more minor children;
- single mother/father or guardian of minor children;
- single people 60+ (without the support of able-bodied relatives);
- recently displaced households;
- households where adults cannot work.
Households that received priority cash assistance for response in frontline areas (UCT1) from other organizations in the previous three months are not eligible for this program.
