The strategic session within the framework of the project "Detection, prevention and response to security challenges in the territorial communities of the Chernihiv region" was held in the Kyiv community.
Representatives of the active local community and authorities comprehensively analyzed the security challenges currently faced by women and girls in the Kyiv community. It is not only about physical security, but also psychological, digital, because in the conditions of war there are various influences. In general, the war - shelling, the likelihood of a repeated enemy offensive in the region, the deterioration of transport links due to damage to roads and bridges is the greatest threat, according to local residents and residents of the Kyiv community. Environmental threats are also mentioned, the need to take into account the principles of inclusiveness and counteraction to herder-caused violence is mentioned.
In three territorial communities of Chernihiv region - Ivanovo, Novobylouskaya and Kyiv, working groups have been created that begin to develop relevant Action Plans for identifying, responding to and preventing security challenges, taking into account the gender and inclusive needs of women and girls. This process will be open and public.
In addition, for residents of hromadas, events will be organized focused on the formation of skills to respond specifically to those security challenges that will be identified during the development of relevant Action Plans for each hromada.
The project "Detection, Prevention and Response to Security Challenges in Territorial Communities of Chernihiv Region" is implemented by the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" within the framework of the project "Women, Peace, Security: Acting Together," implemented by the Ukrainian Women's Fund with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
