"This is my rescue and chief assistant!" In the border communities of Chernihiv Oblast, payments continue to be provided to support local farms.
Residents of Novgorod-Siversk, Horodnyansk, Tupychiv and Sednivsk communities of Chernihiv region, who submitted applications within the framework of the "Emergency support of food production (mixed type)" program, continue to receive financial assistance for the development and support of their economy.
Among those who received payments, — Ms. Nadiya (name changed for security reasons) from Horodnya community. A woman has a small family — only she and her sister, a person with a disability who needs constant care. The entire farm rests exclusively on the shoulders of Mrs. Nadia: she cultivates the garden, grows vegetables, takes care of ducks and chickens. To ease the hard daily work, the woman has long dreamed of a walk-behind tractor, and thanks to the support of the Charitable Foundation "Association for Democratic Development", her dream came true.
"When I found out about this program, I immediately decided to apply, because we would never have bought such equipment on our own. With the received funds, we bought a walk-behind tractor, and it is already fully working in the garden! Now I am just leading the collected vegetable garden to the house for safekeeping. Next year, I plan to plant potatoes with the help of equipment. For me, it's not just a car, it's my rescue and main assistant. I am very grateful for such timely and real help, and especially in such a difficult time", Ms. Nadiya emphasizes.
Assistance is provided within the framework of the large-scale project "Comprehensive support in the areas of monetary assistance by priorities, group monetary transfers, emergency means of livelihood and housing for the population affected by the conflict in the northern and southern parts of Ukraine within the framework of strategic priorities № 1, 2, 3.".
The project is implemented by BO "Charitable Fund "Association of Democratic Development" in partnership with ZOA in Ukraine with funding from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine (HFC/UHF).
